Energy drinks improve sports performace, study says

A recent research study conducted by a group of researchers from Edinburgh University, Scotland has reiterated the fact that energy drinks help athletes improve their sports endurance and levels of performance. The study found that taking energy drinks before and during exercise helped the athletes play in games for longer than the others who did not consume the drinks.

The researchers say that hydration and energy intake play an important role in improving the performance during intense sporting activities.

It is observed that taking 6% carbohydrate-electrolyte solution helped the young athletes continue high-intensity sporting activity for up to 24% longer than those consuming normal placebo drink.

So, make energy drinks a regular part of your before-sports regime.
